The LAMOT Late Model class will be calling Holland Speedway in Holland New York the Home track in 2008! A board of directors made up of drivers both past and present founded the LAMOT series. The purpose of the series is to establish a set of cost effective rules along with maintaining a level playing field for all competitors. After many weeks of discussions, we are pleased to make this announcement. We have a few small details to finalize, but should be able to have the rules buttoned up in a short time.
Here are a few highlights of the LAMOT rules:

LAMOT “COST SAVING PARTS”

$3,100 – Crate Motor – can not be re-built
$750 – Header System (requires claiming rule)
$469 – MSD Distributor and Box
$674 – Carburetor

$460 – Steel non-adjustable Shock Package ($115 per shock –
Brand new).

$1,850 – Transmission (claiming rule)

$1,000 – 9” rear end, $2,000 quick-change option.

$25.00 a night for fuel – 92 Octane pump gas only!

$900 a year for a TIRE Budget! We have located a Good Year Eagle tire that according to the manufacturer, gets faster or stays the same the more times you run it and will not accept tire softener. According to the Manufacturer, it may be possible to get through the year on 2 – 3 sets of tires!

Purse will be announced soon and will be distributed more evenly throughout the positions then in the past. Any car with a legitimate attempt at qualifying will be receiving something for their efforts. Details to be announced soon.
